Welcome to day seven of our 14 days of prayer and fasting devotional series!

Each day of this series we will dive into a Spirit-led word from one of our amazing Angelus Temple and Dream Center Ministry Leaders and Directors! We encourage you to prayerfully join us as we humbly examine where our God is leading us in this new season, as well as the new thing He has already begun in our midst.

Today, we will be hearing from our Pastoral Care & Prayer Pastor, Kenny Hultquist, about the power of prayer in bringing us into alignment and awareness of God's strategy for our lives.

Have you ever seen an especially tall building? I used to live in New York City and there
are a lot of tall buildings like the freedom tower or perhaps, the Empire State building. It took a
lot of work to build the Empire State building.

A man named William Lamb was the architect of the Empire State Building. There were many things he had to take into consideration. He had to consider the height of the building and the effects of differing weather
conditions. He had to consider the cost. Especially since it was to be built during the great depression.
For William Lamb to construct this building, he needed a strategy. After studying all the factors, he produced a blueprint, giving the builders instructions for every floor. If they followed the instructions, everything would turn out exactly as he planned and it did. Today, we have the empire state building.

It’s the same in our lives. God has a blueprint for our lives. He knows exactly what we are to do
every step of the way. God requires one thing to have the life He wants for us.
He requires that we pray. When we pray, we get a strategy from God just like the builders had a
strategy from William Lamb. When we pray, God shows us our next step.

In my life, there were many times when I had to pray to get a strategy from God. If it weren’t for
prayer and fasting, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.

God wants you to come to Him in prayer. He knows you can get stuck in tough situation and he wants to give you
a strategy. He knows how hard life can be, He knows the situations that we face; the challenges that can shape our lives. God can give you a strategy that will help you in every situation. William Lamb had a strategy for the successful construction of the Empire State building. God has a strategy for your life to turn out well too, but you must pray!

"'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future'" (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV).

This is God’s blueprint for your life.

As you pray, I’m believing God will give you a strategy this year, and through His strategy, this
will become the greatest year of your life. A year of new beginnings, filled with endless
possibilities, blessings, and great joy.
