Welcome to day eleven of our 14 days of prayer and fasting devotional series!

Each day of this series we will dive into a Spirit-led word from one of our amazing Angelus Temple or Dream Center Ministry Leaders and Directors! We encourage you to prayerfully join us as we humbly examine where our God is leading us in this new season, as well as the new thing He has already begun in our midst.

Today we will be hearing an amazing message from our faithful Angelus Temple Volunteers, Javier & Reyna Jauregui about trusting and relying on God in the midst of pressing life circumstances.

Day 11: Trust in Him

by Javier & Reyna Jauregui

Craig Groeschel once said,

“It's comforting to know that God is working in all things” (even those that are difficult or confusing) to bring about good. It may not feel good in the moment, but we can trust that God is always working.”

Many people start the new year with great excitement, hopeful for the future, and ready for a new beginning. But maybe 2024 wasn’t the best year. Maybe it was filled with disappointments and frustrations, loss of a loved one, loss of a job, loss of a relationship, loss of a family member due to indifference, or a child due to drugs and addiction. The list goes on. As humans, it’s painful. It feels like the whole world is falling apart and there’s no way out, or at least not in sight. But as you read this, remember to praise Him in those difficult moments. As you praise Him, trust in Him. He knows you and sees you. Remember that He is the prince of peace (Isaiah 9:6). The peace that no one else can provide.

The scripture says in Psalm 30:5, “...Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning” (AMPC). May 2025 be the year that we choose to find joy with Jesus by our side.

Prayer:

"Jesus, I come to you with my heavy heart, my worries and my pain, and I lay them at your feet. I praise your holy name in these dark moments knowing that you are bigger than any problem I am facing. Guide me, Lord, and lead me to you. Let me remember You. Let me run to You when it feels like there’s no way out. I give you all my troubles, and doubts, Lord. Let me find joy in You, and praise You for who you are. Amen."
