David helps his family

Read: 1 Samuel 16:11-12, 18; 17:34-35
Even after David was anointed to become the next king, he still helped in the fields. He still watched his family's sheep! He showed God's love by helping his family! The time he spent in the field prepared him for the future. He would have to defend the sheep from bears. and lions. This got him ready to fight Goliath! How could you help or serve your family? Could you help your mom pick up, or keep your room clean? Maybe offer to help take out the trash or rake up the leaves in your front yard. Whatever it is, showing God's love through helping those around you will help prepare you for the future and to tell other people about Jesus! Remember God loves you so much!
